September Board Meeting Minutes
September 12, 2022

• President Kerr called the meeting to order at 6:54 PM

• Directors present: Lee Kerr, Ernie Sammons, Randy Ballard, Greg Elkins, Stephanie Brock,
Allen Howard, Bill Thiry, Jim Fluty, Larry Disney, Craig Vaughn, John Myers and
Jonathon Campbell.

• Greg Elkins read the minutes for the August 8, 2022, meeting.
Jonathon Campbell motioned to approve the minutes as read.
Allen Howard seconded the motion.
The motion carried 12 – 0.

• Ernie Sammons presented the Treasurers report for August 2022.
Allen Howard motioned to approve the report as presented.
Craig Vaughn seconded the motion.
The motion carried 12 – 0.

• Bill Thiry presented the Registrar’s Report for August 2022.
No action was taken.

• Chris Dixon gave a Caretaker Report.
No action was taken.

• Lee Kerr gave an update on the litigation involving expelled member Cook notifying the
Board that the Clark County Fish and Game Club won a temporary injunction against expelled
member Cook.
No action was taken.

• Lee Kerr gave an update on the litigation involving WMU employee Epperson. The Club
paid Epperson $2,500.00 for repairs to his truck that was damaged when Epperson allowed
the gate to close on his truck.
No action was taken.

• Lee Kerr notified the Board that the by-laws committee is almost finished with the
potential revisions and will be ready to present to the Board by email in the next few
days and meet to discuss/adopt revisions soon after.
No action was taken.

• Lee Kerr updated the Board concerning the damage to the Estill Farm Road.
No action was taken.

• Lee Kerr informed the Board that Jason Freeman had agreed to be a liaison for the
Estill County Farm property.
Jonathon Campbell made a motion to make Jason Freeman the liaison for the Estill County Farm.
Randy Ballard seconded the motion.
The motion carried 12 – 0.

• Lee Kerr updated the Board concerning the barn removal at the Estill County Farm.
No action was taken.

• John Myers requested the Board to entertain a proposal to install a security system at
the clubhouse and the gates.

• Jonathon Campbell agreed to get together an estimate of costs.
No action was taken.

• Jonathon Campbell made a motion to buy a grill for $250.00 to replace the old grill.
Larry Disney seconded the motion.
The motion carried 12 – 0.

• Bill Thiry made a motion to adjourn.
Allen Howard seconded the motion.
The motion carried 12-0.
The meeting adjourned at 8:14 pm.
