Monday, March 14th, 2022
March Board Meeting Minutes
March 14, 2022

• President Kerr called the meeting to order at 6:38 PM

• Directors present: Lee Kerr, Randy Ballard, Greg Elkins, Craig Vaughan, Stephanie Brock,
John Myers, Allen Howard, John Campbell, Bill Thiry, Jim Fluty and Larry Disney.
Ernie Sammons was absent.

• Meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

• Prayer was led by Larry Disney.

• Secretary Greg Elkins read the minutes for the February 2022 meeting.
Craig Vaughn motioned to approve the minutes as read.
Larry Disney seconded the motion.
The motion carried 11 – 0.

• There was no treasurer’s report presented for February 2022.

• Bill Thiry presented the Registrar’s Report for February 2022.
No action was taken.

• Chris Dixon gave a Caretaker Report.
No action was taken.

• Lee Kerr updated the Board of Directors as it relates to the check for the Estill Farm
barn. The Club received a check for $28,572.00 for storm damages to the barn.

• Lee Kerr reminded the Board of Directors that club meals will resume with a fish fry on
April 11, 2022.

• John Myers gave an update on the Aquatic Controls recommendations.
Allen Howard made a motion for John Myers to Chair a committee to study the Aquatic
Controls recommendations and to present a plan to the board for lake treatment, fish
management and fish structures.
John Campbell seconded the motion.
The motion carried 11-0.

• John Myers made a motion to reimburse shareholder Tommy Cook $393.75 for dues paid
from the time of his expulsion in April 2021 to current.
Craig Vaughn seconded the motion.
After debate John Myers rescinded his motion. Craig Vaughn rescinded his second.
No action was taken.

• Allen Howard made a motion to allow the extension office to use the lake for a Hook and
Cook program.
John Campbell seconded the motion.
The motion carried 11-0.

• Youth Fishing Day is scheduled for May 21st, 2022. Bill Thiry will chair a committee
to fund raise and manage the event.

• The Board of Directors conducted a discussion about a 2022 budget meeting.
No action was taken.

• Lee Kerr gave an update on the by-laws committee progress.
No action was taken.

• The Board went into closed session to discuss litigation.

• The Board resumed open session. No action was taken during closed session.

• Larry Disney made a motion to adjourn.
Allen Howard seconded the motion.
The motion carried 11-0.
The meeting adjourned at 8:06 pm.
